Rajasthan ("Kongenes land"), India i 10.02 - 25.02. 2013
opplevelse for livet!

Rajasthan
This state of kings and kingdoms has
witnessed all the brave Rajputana kings who lived here once and their royal
sense has still been kept intact in the heritage and the culture of the state.
In november 2012 I gave a workshop on street photography in Rajasthan, Chomu, Pushkar and Mandawa. With Norwegian photographer Tine Poppe.
Chomu is a small Rajasthani village steeped
in heritage on the Sikar Highway at about 270 km from Delhi.
A village 1 hour by bus from
Chomu, in the middle of nowhere.
Pushkar
Brahma
dropped a lotus flower on the earth – so say the epics – and Pushkar floated to
the surface. This pond-sized Hindu pilgrimage town is a magical desert-edged
place, with one of the world’s few Brahma temples. Rows of sacred ghats front a
mystically magnetic lake, where hundreds of milky-coloured temples and
weather-touched domes sit beneath a shifting, pale grey sky.

Held
each November at the time of the Kartik Purnima full moon, Pushkar Camel
Fair is one of India’s most highly-rated travel experiences, a
spectacle on an epic scale, attracting 300,000 people and up to
20,000 camels, cattle and horses.

In water, on it, below or sideways Linda Cartridge she comes up with her
mental eye and technology by creating spaces of vitality and poetic suggestion.
For a year and a half the artist was submerged in pools with different
models for an experience of prenatal, primary and basic. The works are intended
to attract viewers to the female germ broth has created. It is an invitation to
return to float with the intention to suggest freedom of the primitive, that
they only have the fluids of the fetus and mother, it should perhaps be felt in
the original big bang, creating cracks, breaks and new rebirths.
Venus floating is a sample of photographs taken in Buenos Aires, Montevideo and Oslo which exceeds, in the way of work, the genre. Using analog photography made films as a first material, manual intervention will subsequently work on the negatives, photo by photo on camera, on camera, resulting in works based on the picture and end up in other genres.
Her iconic Hasselblad is like a pencil with which Boceta basic lines of the final photos. Craft touches and some digital intervention timely, necessary poetry reaches to say what you mean. She has succeeded in changing the medium, leaving the air by the mother liquor, leading to feminine strength, subtle and without interruption at release sites where we seem to have been to.
